(Training Without the Gi)

"No-Gi" refers to training without the traditional Jiu-Jitsu uniform. Athletes wear form-fitting attire such as rash guards, shorts, or compression pants. Depending on the event or training setting, athletes may also train shirtless.

The key difference in No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is the absence of grips on clothing. This dynamic forces practitioners to rely on grips directly on the body, such as wrists and neck, emphasizing movement and control over static positions.

No-Gi training is faster-paced and requires a focus on fluid transitions and dominant positions.

Benefits of No-Gi Training:

- Increased physical conditioning and endurance;
- Improved guard passing techniques;
- Enhanced connection between positions;
- Train at one of over 900 schools around the world;
- Access exclusive school events and special classes.
